  • Update seed and package records

     


    EBS users and administrators can access the Update tab of the Inventory Manager tool to update their seed and/or package records. The processes are similar in the Create tab but instead, you will update the existing records.

    Download template

    You must first use the templates provided before uploading the records. You may download either a blank template file or an existing file from a list.

    From blank template

    1. Click the Template button.

    2. Select Blank template, then click Packages.

     

    1. On the other hand, administrators can download templates for either Seeds or Packages. Both selections will be displayed under the Template button.

     

    3. The CSV file of the template will be saved on your device. Fill out the template with the information about your seeds and/or packages.

    Regular users are limited to uploading package information in the tool, specifically the following: PACKAGE_STATUS, VOLUME, PACKAGE_UNIT, and FACILITY_CODE.

     

    4. Save the edited CSV file on your computer.

     

    From an existing list

    1. From the Template button, select Template from list.

     

    2. You will be directed to the browser with the saved seed or package lists under your program. Choose the list where you will get your template and click Download file (). Then, select Packages.

    On the other hand, administrators can download templates for either Seeds or Packages. Both selections will be displayed under the Template button.

     

    You may view the seed or package lists by clicking the View Summary () icon beside the available list. The modal window will display the existing items in the list.

     

    4. The CSV file of the template will be saved on your device. Fill out the template with the information about your seeds and/or packages.

    5. Save the edited CSV file on your computer.

     

    Upload updated records

    After inputting the changes to the seed or package records in a template, you may now upload them. Make sure that the data is finalized and correct to avoid errors.

    Upload updated package records

    For regular EBS users and administrators

    1. Click the Upload button, then select Packages.

     

    2. In the Package File Upload modal window, you may drag and drop the file or click Browse to upload.

     

    3. Once the file has been uploaded, click Validate.

     

    4. A notification will appear on the browser to confirm the validation of records. The status will change to validated once the validation is successful.

     

    Upload updated seed records

    For EBS administrators only

    1. Click the Upload button, then select Seeds.

     

    1. In the Seed File Upload modal window, drag and drop the file from your local device or click Browse to upload.

     

    1. Once the file has been uploaded, click Validate.

     

    1. A notification will appear on the browser to confirm the validation of records. The status will change to validated once the validation is successful.

     

     

    Manage transaction

    Once the uploaded records are validated, you may complete the transaction. Your records will be reviewed before completion. You may delete the transaction as well.

    Complete transaction

    1. Locate the uploaded transaction that you wish to complete and click the Complete File Upload Transaction () icon.

     

    2. A modal window will appear to confirm the transaction. Click Proceed, otherwise, click Cancel.

     

    3. A notification will appear on the browser to process the creation of records. The status will change to completed once the process is successful.

     

    Delete transaction

    1. Locate the uploaded transaction that you wish to delete and click Delete File Upload Transaction ().

     

    2. A modal window will appear to confirm the deletion of the transaction. Click Confirm, otherwise, click Cancel.


    Great! You have finally updated seed and package records. Aside from creating and updating records, you may also perform internal seed transfer in the Inventory Manager.
