Data browser

The majority of the EBS tools will have a table containing the main information or products related to that tool (e.g. The experiment creation tool will have a table of experiments.). This table is known as a data browser and understanding the basic features is useful when interacting with the different tools of the EBS.

Toolbar

A toolbar refers to the different buttons often seen on the top right side of a data browser. Although some tools may have unique actions, there are three actions that are present in all data browser toolbars - Notifications, Reset grid, and Personalize grid settings.

Notifications

If you have any background processes or transactions in action, you can keep track of it using the notification button. Simply click on Notifications () to check the notification.

Reset grid

If you have any filters applied to the data browser, you can quickly reset this and go back to the default view by clicking on Reset grid ().

Personalize grid settings

If you want to change the amount and type of information being presented in the data browser, you can click Personalize grid settings () to personalize the browser settings. A pop-up window will appear where you can change the number of rows visible per page in the browser (max 100), change the columns visible and the order they appear, and select the grid theme. Once you’re satisfied, click Apply at the bottom right of the pop-up window.

Changes will remain even after you log out.

Headers

The EBS supports interactive headers that you can click to sort in ascending or descending order, and you can search for a specific word or phrase in each column. To sort the results, simply click the header name. To search for something under a specific column, simply type in the text field below the header name. You may refer to the search guide below.

These examples will show you how to search for the word Apple.

If you know the exact word or phrase, simply type it directly into the text field. Apple

If you only know the starting letter/s, type A%

If you only know the ending letter/s type %le
