Manage a packing job

On the Planting Instructions Manager landing page, you’ll see a browser where you can view and/or edit the packing jobs that have been created.

Edit packing job information

From the Planting Instructions Manager landing page, locate the packing job you wish to edit then click Update packing job () on its left.

Your packing job transaction will then open and you’ll be directed specifically to the Envelopes tab. From here, you may continue the creation of your draft packing job by providing basic information on it.

If you edit the packing job with ready for packing or packing on hold status, you will be directed to the Entry Management tab. Your packing job will return to draft until you submit the transaction again.

Delete a packing job

From the Planting Instructions Manager landing page, locate the packing job you wish to delete then click Delete packing job () on its left.

View packing job information

1. On the browser, locate the packing job whose information you wish to view then click its View packing job () on the left.

2. The packing job summary page will appear showing the packing job’s status and the respective total number of experiments, occurrences, number of entries, number of replacements, and envelopes a packing job has.

Update a packing job’s status

1. If you view a packing job that is already submitted, you may update the status of the packing job on the summary page that appears after you click the View packing job () icon.

2. Click the Status dropdown button and select the appropriate status from the options. You will be notified once the status has been successfully updated.

You cannot update the status of a draft packing job. The packing job transaction has to be reviewed and submitted first.

When updating your packing job’s status to packed or packing cancelled, a confirmation message will appear notifying you that the status cannot be changed once it’s updated.

3. The browser should now reflect the updated status of your packing job. Refer to the dropdown menu below.

draft - the packing job transaction has not been submitted
ready for packing - the transaction has been submitted
packing - the transaction is ongoing
packing on hold - the transaction is put to a halt
packing cancelled - packing won’t be performed
packed - the transaction is done

Great job! You have successfully managed your own packing job.
