Create a template

From the Printout tool, click Templates. The Templates tab will display the template browser, where you will see all templates created in the system, including their descriptions.

Identify a template type

  1. Click New Report.

  2. You can create a template by using an Empty template or a Report based on an existing one.

Create from an empty template

This option allows you to start an entirely new template that you can design and connect to an EBS tool.

  1. After clicking Empty, the New Report Template modal window will appear. You need to fill out all the required fields indicated by an asterisk (*).

A. Programs field lets you select the program/s where your template will be linked.

B. Products field lets you select the EBS tools where your template will be linked.

C. Name field allows you to set your template’s name.

D. Description field lets you add important notes about your template.

E. Tenants field lets you select the EBS instance/s where your template will be linked.

As of writing, only the “Default” tenant can be chosen for the Tenants field.

  1. Once you are done, click Save.

  2. You will be notified by a confirmation message once the template is successfully created.

  3. Your new template will be logged as the last item in the template browser.

Create a report based on an existing template

This option allows you to create a template using the configurations and designs made for another existing template. This is useful when you need a template similar to an existing one but with minimal alterations.

  1. After clicking Report based on an existing one, the New Report Template modal window will appear.

  2. The Template field is an additional required field for this template type. A drop-down menu lets you choose among the templates already created and listed from the browser.

  1. After filling out the required information, click Save.

  2. You will be notified by a confirmation message once the template is successfully created.

  3. Your new template will be logged as the last item in the template browser.

Awesome! Let’s now proceed to another vital step – creating connections!
