Combining two or more germplasm into a single record can now be done by administrators in the Germplasm tool. Breeders who would need to merge germplasm records should first send request to the administrators before doing this step. Administrators can access the Merge tab in the Germplasm browser to proceed.

Get started

1. From the Germplasm tool, click Merge.

2. The Merge tab will display the merge germplasm browser, where you will see all germplasm merge transactions in the system.

Germplasm merge browser tools

A. File Status lets you know the progress of the merge indicated by a status.

B. Template lets you download the prescribed CSV format for the merge file.

C. Upload lets you add new germplasm merge in the system.

D. Notification icon informs you about developments in the background processes.

E. Reset grid icon reverts you to the default germplasm merge browser display.

F. Personalized grid settings icon allows you to hide or unhide columns in the germplasm merge browser.

G. Export icon generates a copy of the germplasm merge browser in various file formats.

H. Download file icon lets you download and save individual germplasm merge transactions in your device.

I. Validate merge transaction icon lets you validate the uploaded merge transaction.

J. Delete merge transaction icon allows you to remove an uploaded germplasm merge transactions.

K. Complete merge transaction icon lets you begin the germplasm merge process.

Create a germplasm merge transaction

1. In the Merge tab, download the prescribed format by clicking Template.

2. Fill-out the CSV template with the germplasm merge information you want to upload in the system. The CSV template contains variables to be populated with valid information.

3. Save the edited CSV file on your computer.
