The Field Book App by PhenoApps is a mobile application , now enhanced with EBS BrAPI integration, offers a highly efficient solution for phenotypic data collection. This replaces By replacing the traditional way of collecting data, which is by using paper and pen and by encoding data collected in a computer thereafter. Field book was created to improve data collection by making the process efficient while minimizing errors caused by manual encoding. Particularly, the Field Book App allows you to collect data and submit collected data using occurrence and trait files exported from an occurrence/s in the EBS, time-consuming methods of hand-recording and manual data entry, this app streamlines the process and enhances accuracy.

With EBS BrAPI integration, the Field Book App provides seamless connectivity between our web and mobile platforms. After a quick installation and setup, you can effortlessly import data, enter it directly into the app, review it using the grid view, and sync everything for a smooth upload. This efficient approach simplifies data collection, making your workflow faster and more reliable.

Getting Started

This user guide will serve as an end-to-end guide on how to use provides a comprehensive, step-by-step using the FieldBook App with the EBS. But before you jump into that, make sure Assuming your occurrence is already available in EBS, please ensure you have the following:1.

  1. EBS CB-Experiment Manager. Be sure to set up trait protocols before importing your occurrence on the Field Book App.

Download the Field Book App from Google Play to your android mobile or any data collection device (e.g. CT5, iData50, iData80).
