Install Field Book

To get started, download and install the application on your Android device using either Google Play or an APK file:

Via Google Play:

1. Open the Google Play Store and search for "Field Book."

2. Look for the Field Book app with this logo .

3. Click "Install" and then "Open."

4. Follow the initial setup instructions on how to set up BrAPI.

Via APK:

1. Download the Field Book v5.6.apk file.

2. Install the application directly on your mobile device.

3. Follow the initial setup instructions on how to set up BrAPI.

Define and set up local storage for Field Book

1. Click the “DEFINE” button.

2. Create a new folder for your data and name it as you prefer, then click “Ok.” Once satisfied, click “USE THIS FOLDER.”

3. If your device prompts you to allow the setting, click “Allow.”

   1. If you previously used a folder with the Field Book app, click “SKIP” to avoid migrating old files.

   2. For any location requests, select “While using the app.”

4. When asked if you want to load sample data, click “No.”

5. If prompted to enable the tutorial, click “No.”

Open

Initial Field Book set up Instructions

1. Go to Settings

2. Click BrAPI

3. Check the box to Enable BrAPI.

4. In the Auth Settings, select "OIDC Flow" and then click “OAuth2 Implicit Grant.”

5. Set up your EBS environment:

   • Click “OIDC Discovery URL” and update the current URL with your OIDC configuration.

   • For demo purposes, use this URL: https://cbbrapi-demo.ebsproject.org/.well-known/openid-configuration, then click “OK.”

6. Under Configuration:

   • Click “Base URL” and update it with the environment Base URL.

   • For demo purposes, use this link: https://cbbrapi-demo.ebsproject.org , then click “AUTHORIZE.”

7. Enter your EBS login credentials or use your work email registered with EBS.

8. A message will prompt, asking, “Make this BrAPI server the default?” Check the box to enable “Import and Export Source,” then click “Save.”

9. Click “Display Name” and enter your preferred group name, then click “OK.”

10. Once completed, click “Back.”

How to set Person Profile?

1. Go to Settings then Profile

2. Click on "Person."

3. Enter your preferred name or team name, then click “Save.”

4. Check the box for "Unique ID."

5. Once completed, click “Back.”

How to enable Datagrid?

1. Go to Settings

2. Click on “General“

3. Check “Datagrid“

4. Once completed, click “Back.”

How to enable mobile scanner?

1. Go to Settings

2. Click on “General“

3. Click on “Move to unique identifier“ then “Direct Camera Scan“

4. Once completed, click “Back.”
