Perform a basic search
A basic search lets you find germplasm using parameters, input lists, or conditions. Let’s start your first basic search!
Search using query parameters
1. From the Germplasm tool, locate the Query Parameters section on the upper part of the page.
2. Provide the germplasm names of the values that you want to search for. You can enter multiple values separated by commas. You may also use the ( % ) symbol if you don’t know the exact germplasm name (e.g. IRRI %).
3. Specify the germplasm type by selecting from the dropdown menu.
You only need to provide one parameter to search for germplasm.
4. Afterward, click Find to execute your query.
Once the results have finished loading, you can perform an additional search or manage your results.

Performing an additional search
Search using an input list
1. From the Query Parameters section, click on Additional Search Parameters.
2. You will be provided two options on the lower left - Input List or Add Condition. You may choose one or both, but for this section, we will show you only the Input List.
3. Click on Input List to open the Input List pop-up window which will show three blank fields - the (1) name type selection, the (2) input field, and the (3) saved lists menu.
4. Click on the Designation dropdown field to specify whether the values provided refers to the designation or other germplasm name types.
5. Provide your search values in the input field, which is the blank field to the right of the Designation dropdown field.
6. If you have a saved germplasm list, you can import the germplasm names by locating the saved list from the menu on the left.
7. Click on the left side of your list to import the list values into the input field.
8. Once satisfied, click Confirm to save your search parameters.
9. You can repeat the process above or click Find to execute your search.
Search using conditions
1. From the Search Parameters section, click on Additional Search Parameters.
2. You will be provided two options on the lower left - Input List or Add Condition. You may choose one or both, but for this section, we will show you only the Add Condition.
3. Click Add Condition to insert a new search parameter that contains the (1) filter type and (2) condition. You may refer to the dropdown below for their value choices.
4. Afterward, provide the values on the blank field on the left, separated by commas.
5. Once satisfied, click Find to execute your search.
Great job! You have successfully performed an additional search.
Remove parameter values
Remove additional search parameters
To remove an additional search parameter, simply click beside the parameter.
Clear all search parameters
If you have multiple parameters filled in, click Reset to clear all the values from all the parameters. This will also remove your previous search results.
