One of the two tabs in the Germplasm tool is the Create tab. Unlike the Search tab, the Create tab is viewable and accessible only to EBS administrators. This tab allows administrators to generate and upload new germplasm, seed, and package records. Administrators can also upload germplasm relation files.
Get started
1. From the Germplasm tool, click Create.
2. The Create tab will display the germplasm upload browser, where you will see all germplasm record upload transactions in the system.
Germplasm upload browser tools
A. File Status lets you know the progress of a germplasm upload indicated by a status.
B. Template lets you download the prescribed CSV format for germplasm-related files.
C. Upload lets you add new germplasm records in the system.
D. Notification icon informs you about developments in the background processes.
E. Reset grid icon reverts you to the default germplasm upload browser display.
F. Personalized grid settings icon allows you to hide or unhide columns in the germplasm upload browser.
G. Export icon generates a copy of the germplasm upload browser in various file formats.
H. View summary icon allows you to see specific details of the uploaded germplasm records.
I. Download file icon lets you download and save individual germplasm record in your device.
J. Complete file upload transaction icon lets you begin the germplasm record creation process.
K. Delete file upload transaction icon allows you to remove an uploaded germplasm record.
L. View error logs icon lets you know what went wrong in the data validation process.
Create a germplasm record
1. In the Create tab, download the prescribed format by clicking Template then Germplasm.
2. Fill-out the CSV template with the germplasm information you want to upload in the system. The CSV template contains variables to be populated with valid information.
3. Save the edited CSV file on your computer.
