The Field Book App by PhenoApps is a mobile application for phenotypic data collection. This replaces the traditional way of collecting data, which is by using paper and pen and by encoding data collected in a computer thereafter. Field book was created to improve data collection by making the process efficient while minimizing errors caused by manual encoding.
Particularly, the Field Book App allows you to collect data and submit collected data using occurrence and trait files exported from an occurrence/s in the EBS.
Getting Started
This user guide will serve as an end-to-end guide on how to use the FieldBook App with the EBS. But before you jump into that, make sure you have the following:
1. Field Book App. Download the Field Book App from Google Play to your android mobile or any data collection device (e.g. CT5, iData50, iData80).
2. Local device. This is where you will store and share your files.
3. EBS account.
Currently, the Field Book app can only run on android-supported devices.
Great! Now that you have everything set, you may start exporting your files from the EBS.
