The first step in creating a single-occurrence analysis (SOA) request is selecting the breeding trial experiment with the collected trait data. From there, you will choose the occurrences that are ready for analysis.

The Experiment tab displays the breeding trial experiments created under your program. You may also view the experiment phase, year created, experiment design, and more. You must take note that only occurrences with the status

Status
titleTRAIT DATA QUALITY CHECKed
, which can be seen in the Experiment Manager data browser in Core Breeding, will appear in this browser.

Some occurrences with no plot trait data might be available on this data browser. This is due to data issues in the tool. Using these occurrences for analyses will only result to

Status
colourRed

requests caused by missing plot data.

To resolve this, please let us know by reporting the issue as bug as soon as you encounter them.

Info

If you access the Experiments tab through the Analysis Request Manager tool, the lists of experiments with the

Status
titleTRAIT DATA QUALITY CHECKed
status will appear.

On the other hand, if you access the tab after quality-checking the experiment in the Phenotypic Data Manager, only the occurrences for that specific experiment will appear in the browser.

  1. From the data browser, locate the experiment that you want to send for analysis. You may click the Expand button (>) beside each experiment to view the occurrences and tick the checkbox ((blue star)) of one or more of them.

  1. You may also tick the checkbox ((blue star)) of the experiment and it will automatically select all the occurrences under it.

  1. Once done choosing the occurrence, the Next button will be enabled. Click the button in the upper right corner of the browser.

Great job! You can select the variables for analysis.
