The first step in using the Harvest Manager tool is to load and update the harvest data under the Occurrence tab. The tab is divided into two sections - (A) Search Parameters and (B) Search Results. Let’s start with the Search Parameters and load your plot data.

If you accessed the tool via the Experiment Manager, your plots/crosses will already be loaded and you can skip ahead to providing your harvest data. |
Search for occurrences to harvest
1. Under the Search Parameters section, specify the Program, Experiment, and Occurrence. Only the Program and Occurrence are required.
2. Once you’ve specified these values, the occurrence details and existing harvest summary will be provided.
3. After you’ve verified that this is correct, click Crosses or Plots on the bottom right corner of the Search Parameter section. You can only process one type at a time.
4. A modal window will appear asking whether or not you want to use the harvest method specified during the Experiment Creation or if you want to load plots without using any existing harvest methods. Either click Confirm or No, don’t use the default method.
Wait for the plots or crosses to be loaded in the Search Results section.
Provide harvest data
In the Harvest Data tab, harvest data can be specified either for cross or plots. Note that crosses have to have a cross date first.
Add harvest data per plot or cross
1. Locate the plot/cross subtab where you want to add harvest data.

Harvest data can also be done via Data Collection. If this was done, the data will be reflected in the Search Results browser. You can filter plots without harvest data by setting the Harvest Status column as

2. From that row, click the field under Harvest Date to use the calendar widget.
3. In the next column, indicate the Harvest Method. You may refer to the section below for the different requirements for each harvest method.

4. Depending on the harvest method selected, provide any numeric variables if needed.
5. Click Next on the upper right corner of the screen to proceed to the validation of data and creation of harvest records.

Add harvest data for multiple or all plots or crosses
1. Select all the plots/crosses that you want to add harvest data to by ticking on the left-most column. You may skip this step if you want to add all harvest data.
2. Then, click from the toolbar.
3. Once the pop-up window opens, you can specify the harvest date, method, and if needed, numeric variables.
4. Click either Apply to Selected or Apply to All on the lower right and wait for the data browser to reload.
5. Click Next on the upper right corner of the screen to proceed to the validation of data and creation of harvest records.

Replace invalid harvest data
If you have uploaded your plot or cross data in the EBS with either an invalid date format (e.g., “01-01-2023”) or wrong capitalization (e.g., “bulk”), your data will have a

Filter plots/crosses data
Using quick filters
The quick filters show the harvest status of the plots or crosses under the Harvest Data tab. These filters will automatically change while updating your harvest data. You may view the harvest method workflow for the list of harvest statuses.
1. Click on the filters to only view the plots or crosses with the selected status. A check mark ( ✔️ ) indicates that the filter is selected. The browser will also display the plots or crosses with the selected status.
2. You may also click Clear All to delete the filters.
Filter by range
Filtering by range lets you look for the plot numbers or crosses that you want to view or add data.
1. From either the Plots or Crosses subtab, indicate the range value of plots/crosses that you want to filter in the text field. Once done, click the Apply filters () button.
2. You can now view the plots/crosses within the indicated range value and add your harvest data.
3. You may also click Clear All to delete the filters.
Bulk delete harvest data
1. Click on the checkbox of the harvest data that you want to delete and click the Bulk delete harvest traits () button.

Plots/crosses with either committed or uncommitted data will be deleted. Once done, all the previously created harvest records will be removed. |
2. Under the Bulk Delete modal window, choose between Uncommitted data, Committed Data,or both. Refer to the drop-down below for the choices

3. Click the checkbox of the trait to be deleted. Click Delete Selected or Delete All to proceed with the deletion of traits.
4. A confirmation window will appear to confirm the action. Click Delete. Otherwise, click Cancel.
Revert harvest data
You may revert your plots or crosses without deleting your committed harvest data. This only works for plots or crosses with

1. From the toolbar, click the Revert failed harvest ( ) button.
2. A modal window will appear to notify that the plots/crosses will be reverted. Click Proceed.
