Update experiment

Users can go back to updating their experiment after leaving it for a short period.

  1. Click the Update Experiment icon beside the experiment. It will open the last accessed tab based on the experiment type and status.

The icon appears for DRAFT experiments and those with statuses highlighted in blue (e.g., entry list created). It will not appear for experiments with In Progress status (e.g., deletion in progress).

Check out the infographic on the experiment statuses for the following experiments:

Copy a created experiment

If users want to reuse information from a created or planted experiment for future activities, they can copy the experiment.

  1. Click the Copy Experiment icon beside the experiment. A modal opens, allowing users to select which information to copy.

  1. From the modal, tick the checkboxes beside the tabs.

  2. Once done, click Preview to open a new page with the tabs and their information. Otherwise, click Cancel to undo the action.

The tabs vary based on the experiment type. The system also automatically selects other tabs based on prior choices.

For instance, when copying a Breeding Trial experiment, selecting Site also selects the Entry List and Design tabs. Users can still choose these tabs freely.

The Basic tab is the default selection when copying the experiment.

Users can expand the tabs to view the details or hide them.

  1. The Experiment Creation browser opens with the copied experiment. Continue editing it by clicking the Update Experiment icon.

If the experiment has not been copied yet, refresh the page or click the Notifications icon to check its progress.
