  1. For Intercross app users, they can also collect the necessary data collection files for crossing data. Refer to the dropdown menus to learn more.

A wishlist enables users to generate crossing data in the app based on the listed parents and their minimum and maximum crossing times. Users can download the wishlist from both Intentional Crossing Nursery (ICN) and non-ICN experiments before using it in the app.

Before exporting the wishlist for ICN experiments, ensure they have the mapped or planted status in the Experiment Manager.

  1. From the Cross Manager data browser, click Download > Intercross - Wishlist beside the cross list. The wishlist will be saved as a CSV file in the local drive.

  1. Users can then import the wishlist into the app. After recording, they must export the crossing data and upload it to EBS.

Another option is to record the cross metadata in a template instead of using the app. The template resembles the export file generated in Intercross, except that the crossDbId is intentionally left blank and is optional.

The crossDbId values listed in the Intercross export file (image below) are the QR code values automatically populated when using the app.

Users are not required to fill out the said column if they opt to load their crossing data using the template.

  1. From the Cross Manager data browser, click Download > Intercross - Data Template beside the cross list. The data template will be saved as a CSV file in the local drive.

  1. Fill out the template with the necessary metadata, such as the timestamp, person, experiment, type, fruits, flowers, and seeds. After collecting the cross metadata, users can then upload and save it back to EBS.
