Aside from the default tabs, the experiment-specific tabs efficiently manage entries tailored to the selected experiment type. These tabs become accessible upon choosing an experiment type in Experiment Creation. For instance, when creating a Breeding Trial experiment, users must generate randomizations that align with their trial design.
Experiment-specific tabs
These tabs, located after the Entry List tab, organize processes uniquely aligned with the selected experiment type. The tabs include:

(8) Planting Arrangement tab for all experiments except Breeding Trial.
Design tab (BT experiments)
The (6) Design tab allows users to randomize entries based on selected trial designs, which are organized into parameter sets. A parameter set consists of one or two occurrences of the same trial design.
A. Entries table Displays the number of entries identified in the previous step, including the checks and local checks B. Interfaces toggle Enables users to randomize entries using the new or old interface, but users are encouraged to use the new one since the old one will be removed soon. C. Across Environment Design Enables randomization for all entries (non-sparse) or conducts sparse testing. Users can also generate randomization within EBS or upload a design template. D. Occurrence Design Generates randomizations in EBS, modifies test and check entries, and creates design layouts. E. Parameter Sets Enables users to view and manage the parameter sets before finalizing the randomization. |
Crosses tab (ICN experiments)
The (7) Crosses tab enables users to create crosses from the entry list, assign cross methods, and manage the cross list.
A. Crosses subtabs Enables users to generate crosses or cross patterns and manage the cross lists Add Crosses: Enable users to create cross combinations from female and male parents Cross Patterns: Enable users to cross combinations using pair or triplet patterns Manage Crosses: Enable users to assign cross methods to crosses and manage the cross list B. Toolbar functionalities :SELF: Self: Creates self crosses for female or male parents :reset_grid: Reset grid: Restores default table view by clearing applied filters :setting: Personalized grid settings: Customizes column visibility and layout C. Crosses field Lists down the cross combinations generated by pairing female and male parents. The accepted format when creating crosses is <entry code>|<entry code>. :Pair: Pair: Pairs the female and male parents and generates cross combinations :CLEAR: Clear: Removes the cross combinations from the Crosses field :REPLACE: Replace: Removes the current crosses and adds the new cross combinations in the Crosses field :ADD: Add: Finalizes the cross combinations, which can be viewed in the Manage Crosses subtab D. Female Entries table Displays the female entries and their assigned germplasm, indicated by a pink-colored table E. Male Entries table Displays the male entries and their assigned germplasm, indicated by a blue-colored table F. Cross List table Displays the cross list with the crosses and their parent information |
Planting Arrangement tab (all experiments except BT)
The (8) Planting Arrangement tab enables users to arrange the entries into a planting layout and assign replicates if needed.
A. Select Arrangement toggle Allows users to generate the planting arrangement by Add Blocks or Entry Order Add Blocks - Adds selected/all entries to each block (and sub-block) Entry Order - Enables the planting arrangement regardless of the number of replicates specified for each entry B. Add Blocks subtabs Enables the arrangement of entries into blocks and sub-blocks Add Blocks: Creates blocks and sub-blocks Assign entries: Distributes the entries to blocks and sub-blocks Manage blocks: Manages the planting arrangements set per block Overview: Reviews the block information before finalization C. Arrangement Information Enables users to review and modify the planting arrangement based on the parameters and assigned replicates D.
