Program, Team, User
Program
A program is an organizational unit within an institution designed to group and manage related experiments. This establishes an access level that governs how experiments can be shared. In EBS, the program is displayed in the dashboard as the default filter. A user can belong to one or more programs, which they can view in the Data filter icon.
Team
A team is a group consisting of one or more users belonging to a breeding program. Users can view the teams when they click the Accounts icon under My profile.
User
A user is an individual belonging to a team who accesses EBS. Accounts can have the role of a regular user or administrator, though they can differ depending on the programs or team they belong to.
While the general roles listed below describe the tools and features users can access, specific permissions are determined by the actual roles assigned within EBS (e.g., CB User, Unit Leader, etc.). At a minimum, all users have access to the assigned crop programs, but other permissions depend on their defined role in EBS.
