Download the germplasm update template
Download a blank template
Click Template. > Blank Template. Then, select between Attribute (to update germplasm attributes, germplasm type, and MTA status) or Relation (to update germplasm parents and children).
After updating the CSV template, users can then upload it to the Update tab.
The headers in the germplasm attribute file vary per crop program. For example, rice, maize, and wheat programs have different germplasm attributes. Contact the EBS data managers to know more about the required variables to update.
Download a template from the saved list
Click Template. > Template from list. The Germplasm List browser opens with the user-owned and shared lists available in the program.
To download the template, click the Download template icon beside the germplasm list, then select Germplasm (to update germplasm state and type) or Germplasm attribute (to update germplasm state, type, and attributes, and MTA status).
After updating the CSV template, users can then upload it to the Update tab.

Optionally, users can click the View List icon beside the list to view the list items and their related information before downloading.
Upload and validate the germplasm update file
Click Upload > Attribute or Relation. The Update Germplasm File Upload modal opens after.
Click Browse to select the file, or drag and drop the file into the modal.
After attaching the appropriate file, click Validate to queue the transaction data for verification.
Once the system validation is done, the File Status column changes depending on the upload status. If it has the validated status, click the Complete update icon to finalize the transaction.
Check the infographic on the Germplasm - Update statuses for the meaning of each status.
In the Updated Germplasm Records view, review the validated details carefully, then click Complete once all information is confirmed accurate.
The File Status column will update to completed, indicating that the germplasm details have been successfully updated.
The Attributes column provides a quick summary of the germplasm details that have been updated.
Delete transaction
Click the Delete update transaction icon beside the transaction.
Click Confirm to delete the transaction from the system.

Create an experiment using the created germplasm records.
Go to Experiment Creation.
