Create a germplasm merge transaction
Download germplasm merge template
Click the Template button from the toolbar. The CSV template will be saved in the local drive.
After updating the CSV template, users can then upload it to the Merge tab.
Upload and validate the merge transaction
Click Upload. The Merge Germplasm File Upload modal opens after.
Click Browse to select the file, or drag and drop the file into the modal.
After attaching the appropriate file, click Validate to queue the transaction data for verification.
Once the system validation is done, the File Status column changes depending on the upload status. If it has the created status, click the Validate merge transaction icon to review the transaction.
Check the infographic on the Germplasm - Merge statuses for the meaning of each status.
In the Germplasm Merge view, review the validated details carefully, then click Merge > Merge All once all information is confirmed accurate.
The File Status column will update to merge ready, indicating that the germplasm merge can be finalized. Click Complete merge transaction.
A preview of the records to be merged will be shown in the browser. Once the users are satisfied with the merge, they can then click Complete.
If possible conflicts are detected, users will need to resolve the merge conflict before finalizing the merge transaction. They may also download the conflict report by clicking the link on the page.
The File Status column will update to completed, indicating that the germplasm merge has been successfully conducted.
Resolve a merge conflict
Click Resolve to open a new page where users can decide which germplasm values to keep or merge.
In the Conflict Resolution column, decide how to resolve the conflicting values by switching the toggles ( to Keep, to Merge) per germplasm variable.
Once done, click Submit > Submit All. Otherwise, click Back.
The previous page opens again with the current transaction. After that, do steps 7-8 of validating the germplasm merge.
Delete transaction
Click the Delete merge transaction icon beside the transaction.
Click Confirm to delete the transaction from the system.
