After identifying your parents, you may now plan the arrangement of your entries. This involves adding blocks, assigning entries to them, and managing the blocks.

There are two options available when selecting the blocks' arrangement: Add blocks and Entry order.

  1. Add blocks - allows you to add selected/all entries to each block.

  2. Entry order - enables your planting arrangement in entry order regardless of the number of replicates specified for each entry.

After the intro… we can now focus on generating planting arrangement specific to CPN. CPN will require you to plant the entries in multiple batches with 1 week interval for each batch planting. This way, they will be able to synchronize the flowering time of parents for crossing. The arrangement per block is by entry order.

To do this:

  1. Select the ‘Add Blocks’ option

  2. Add blocks (no of blocks represent the no of times for staggered planting)

  3. Assign entries (select all)

  4. Add entries to block/s (check all BLOCKS). Specify details (dimension)

  5. Manage blocks to see the assigned plots for entries in each block.

  6. Overview
