The EBS domain’s landing page displays the version of the software available to users. This is also visible in the left navigation menu. Each version may highlight new key features, improvements, bug fixes, or all three. You may refer to the log below for more information in each version.
Version 23.11.28
Management of shipment transactions is improved.
This version enhances user experience in the Basic Information and Items tabs of shipment transactions that are not intended for genotyping service requests (Request No-GSR). Permitted users can access the Request No-GSR option in the left navigation menu and choosing Shipment Outgoing IRRI/CIMMYT.
Specifically, you can now:
View notifications when imported list is empty. In the Items tab, an error message is now displayed when you import an empty package list from Core Breeding. The error message also contains instructions on how to correct the error.
Add more important details. This update can be accessed in the Shipment Outgoing CIMMYT option. The following data fields are now available so you can specify pertinent details of your shipment transaction: Shipment Purpose, Seed Treatment, Account for Seed Health Testing Costs, and Account for Shipment Costs.
Bug fixes
The correct institution is now reflected for a requestor, and
Pre-selected sender, requestor, and recipient names are disbaled.
Management of requests is improved.
The following enhanced features were implemented:
Renamed status. The new status RESULTS READY replaces the file processed status to indicate that a valid genotyping results file have been successfully processed in Gigwa and can be downloaded by breeders in the data browser.
New tissue options. In the Basic tab, the Tissue Type is now a required data field. Seed and DNA have also been added as new tissue types that you can select for your genotyping request.
View selected traits. In the Services tab, the trait, trait category, and marker group information are now displayed under the Selected Traits section when you select a specific trait for your genotyping request.
Vendor information is hidden. The vendor information of your selected trait and marker panel is now hidden in the Services tab, Review tab, and when viewing () the details of a request.
Bug fixes
Selected traits, categories, and marker panels are now correctly displayed when viewing () the details of a genotyping request.
Lab managers can now edit a MODIFIED request.
To allow lab managers to complete or correct the necessary information for a genotyping request, the edit icon () for requests with the status modified is enabled.

Vendor information is hidden.
The vendor information of your selected trait and marker panel is now hidden in the Services tab, Review tab, and when viewing () the details of a request.
Bug fixes
Selected traits, categories, and marker panels are now correctly displayed when viewing () the details of a genotyping request.
The data browser is improved.
The column headers in the data browser was renamed for consistency. The following changes were made:
Create By → Creator,
Create On → Creation Timestamp,
Update By → Modifier, and
Update On → Modification Timestamp.
Version 23.10.25
New informative statuses are provided.
Breeders can now view a new set of request statuses that provide more information on the progress of genotyping result files. These statuses are also accompanied by notifications (). The following are featured:
File uploaded. This means that the lab manager has already uploaded the genotyping results file sent by the vendor.
file processing ongoing. This denotes that the file is currently being processed in Gigwa.
file processed. This lets you know that a valid genotyping results file have been successfully processed in Gigwa. The file also becomes available for download () from the data browser.
File processing failed. This means that the uploaded vendor file did not pass the validation requirements set up in Gigwa.
Management of requests is improved.
The following enhanced features were implemented:
Renamed columns. Several columns were renamed to improve consistency across data browsers. The list below provides the old and new column names and locates where the changes are reflected:
Data Browser: Trait Custom → Trait(s)
Data Browser: Marker Panel → Marker Group
View () Request: Germplasm Owner → List Creator
View () Request: Germplasm Owner Email → List Creator Email
View () Request: Service → Marker Group
Bug fixes
You can expect to encounter no error when viewing marker groups applicable to specific crops.
