titleOrganizational Units

The new Organizational Units tool is now enabled.

EBS admins can now use Organizational Units tool to create and manage organizations and their units, which come from the Contact Relationship Manager (CRM) tool. The data browser supports basic functionalities, such as filtering, pagination, and download. Each organization’s unit can also be edited ((blue star)) and deleted ((blue star)). The following features are available:

  1. Manage an organization's units. When you edit ((blue star)) the details of a unit, a new page loads to let you revise its information excluding the data fields for Organization and Unit Type.

  2. Add unit contacts. This section allows you to assign your unit’s Admin Contact and/or Lead Contact. Simply select the name from the drop-down menu. Only registered names from CRM will appear in the list. You can also add remarks in the Comments data field and view the ((blue star)) contact’s CRM profile. To remove a name, click the clear icon (X) beside the drop-down menu.

  3. Manage an unit’s teams. Here, you can create teams within an organization’s unit by clicking the Add Team button. Add members and their roles by modifying the team’s information ((blue star)) and saving the changes. The delete feature ((blue star)) is also enabled should you want to remove a previously created team.

EBS admins can now access Place Manager.

Following its launch, Place Manager is now readily accessible and usable by EBS users with admin roles. The tool can be selected from the Core System dashboard or the left navigation menu.

titleUser Management

Management of user roles are enhanced.

EBS admins can now use the permissions specific to the Core Breeding (CB) domain when assigning roles to user profiles. In the Role tab, select a CB-specific role. Click the Update Role icon ((blue star)) to view the existing permissions granted for the role. Here, you can expand the permissions for each domain to view the tools.

[ADMIN] Import and export of report templates are enabled.

Data managers can now export a report template from one EBS instance (e.g. REE) and import it to another. In the Templates tab, tick ((tick)) the checkbox beside the template you want to export. Click the Import/Export button from the toolbar to begin the download. In the same tool of another EBS instance, you can click the same button to upload the template. The template’s connection should also be re-created for the template to be usable in the new instance.

Report templates are improved.

In this version, the following templates are enhanced:

  1. Season summary template. This report template now reflects complete and correct data for calculated fields, such as plot area, plot length, and plot width. This template (sys_season_summary_template_excel) is housed in the System Templatestab.

  2. Standard Materials Transfer Agreement (SMTA). Data on the shipment items and the requestor name are now correctly reflected in the SMTA report template. This template (sys_shm_smta_mls_shrink-wrap) can be accessed from the System Templates tab.


Bug fix

The Core System’s timeout widget is now working as expected.

titlePlace Manager (PM)

Facilities tab was improved.

The following are implemented in the Facilities tab:

  1. Enhanced column filters. The data browser correctly displays the records according to the set column filters in both the Facilities and Places tab.

  2. Create a container. In this new feature, you can create a container and link it to a facility. In the Create button’s drop-down menu, choose Container. The left panel will open so you can fill-out the details. Click Reset Form to start over, Cancel, or proceed to Create your container.
