Breeders need to document details and identify products in conducting their experiments using labels, tags, and reports. The Printout tool allows EBS administrators, specifically data managers, to create and design templates for these purposes, as well as connect these templates to EBS domains and tools. This tool is one of the tools featured in the Core System domain.

Get started

Printout tool entry point and navigation

  1. Open https://ebs.irri.org/login and log in using your EBS credentials.

  2. After that, you will be redirected to the EBS Homepage. Click on Core System.

3. The Core System dashboard will open. Select Printout from either the dashboard or the left navigation menu.


Now, let’s orient you on the tool’s key sections: the Templates browser and the Connections browser.

The Templates browser allows you to create and design printout templates for experiment tags, labels, and reports.

A. Delete Report icon lets you delete a previously created template.

B. Edit Report icon lets you update details of your template, such as defining which EBS products the template will be displayed.

C. Designer Mode icon allows you to customize your template according to purpose.

D. Print Report icon generates a preview of your template before you proceed with export.

E. New Report button lets you create a blank template or based on an existing one.

F. Download CSV icon lets you generate an offline copy of the templates browser.

G. Personalize Grid Settings icon allows you to hide or unhide columns in the templates browser.

The Connections browser lets you link a template to a functionality in an EBS tool.

A. Edit icon allows you configure the connection of the template to EBS tools.

B. Delete Connection icon lets you delete the existing connection of a template to EBS tools.

C. New Connection button lets you add a new data source connection for a template.

D. Download CSV icon lets you generate an offline copy of the connections browser.

E. Personalize Grid Settings icon allows you to hide or unhide columns in the connections browser.
